Graphic Designer

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Conceptualizing visuals based on requirements
  • Creating images and layouts for game and marketing materials
  • Provide overall art direction for all games

Job brief

In this specialist role, you’ll be supporting all brands under Indie Game Studios to deliver visual design assets and direction.

You’ll be part of our product team and work closely with the project managers and leadership.

You’ll be responsible for producing print-ready layouts of game components and packaging materials, as well as a variety of marketing materials.

You have a proven ability to rapidly and accurately produce print-ready files using the Adobe creative suite and have a good working knowledge of visual design in tabletop games. You have experience of both producing layout designs for commercial purposes and art direction.

What is the role of a graphic designer?

The graphic designer job description includes the entire process of defining requirements, visualizing and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts, and packaging. You’ll be the one to shape the visual aspects of games, product packaging, marketing materials and more.

Your graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message. For this, you need to have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design. If you can communicate well and work methodically as part of a team, we’d like to meet you.

Responsibilities

  • Study design briefs and determine requirements
  • Schedule projects and define budget constraints
  • Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
  • Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
  • Develop game layouts, logos and other designs using software
  • Maintain consistency across brand lines and product lines
  • Work with copywriters and creative director to produce the final design
  • Amend designs after feedback
  • Ensure final graphics and layouts are print-ready

Requirements

  • Proven graphic designing experience
  • A strong portfolio within the industry
  • Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and details
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
